The D-Link DAP-1325 N300 Wi-Fi Range Extender is a compact plug-in networking device designed to extend the coverage of an existing wireless network. It helps improve Wi-Fi availability in areas where the signal from the main router may be weaker, making it suitable for homes, apartments, small offices and other everyday environments. It supports Wireless N speeds of up to 300Mbps on the 2.4GHz band.

The DAP-1325 uses two external omnidirectional antennas to provide wireless connectivity and supports IEEE 802.11n and 802.11g wireless standards. Its three-segment Wi-Fi signal indicator helps identify a suitable position for the extender, making placement easier when trying to achieve better coverage throughout the desired area.

Setting up the extender is straightforward using the integrated WPS button. Pressing the WPS button on the DAP-1325 and the existing router allows the devices to configure their connection automatically. It can also be configured through the D-Link QRS Mobile app or the built-in web interface, providing additional setup options without requiring complicated networking knowledge.

In addition to wireless extension, the DAP-1325 includes a 10/100 Fast Ethernet port. This can be used to connect a wired device such as a computer, smart TV or game console to the extended network, or to create a wireless hotspot from a wired Internet connection in suitable situations. Wireless security includes WPA/WPA2 encryption and WPS.
