The YL-99 Impact Switch Module is a compact and cost-effective sensor designed to detect physical impacts, vibrations, or collisions. It is commonly used in robotics, automation systems, and DIY electronics projects to provide immediate feedback upon mechanical contact or shock.

Features :

• Digital Output: The module outputs a digital signal—LOW when an impact is detected and HIGH when idle.
• Integrated LED Indicator: An onboard LED illuminates when an impact is detected, offering visual confirmation of sensor activity.
• Wide Operating Voltage: Compatible with 3.3V to 12V systems, making it versatile for various microcontrollers like Arduino, Raspberry Pi, and ESP32.
• Compact Design: Small form factor (approximately 25mm x 14mm x 6mm) allows for easy integration into space-constrained projects.
• Simple Interface: Utilizes a 3-pin header (VCC, GND, OUT) for straightforward connectivity.

Specifications :

• Operating Voltage: 3.3V to 12V DC
• Output Type: Digital (HIGH/LOW)
• Current Rating: Up to 2A at 125VAC (switch rating)
• Dimensions: Approximately 25mm x 14mm x 6mm
• Weight: Approximately 3 grams
• Mounting: Includes an M3 mounting hole for secure attachment
• Pin Configuration
  • VCC: Connect to 3.3V–12V power supply
  • GND: Connect to system ground
  • OUT: Digital output signal; LOW when impact is detected, HIGH when idle

Usage Tips :

• Mounting Orientation: Ensure the module is securely mounted to detect impacts effectively; the lever arm should be positioned to receive the expected direction of force.
• Debouncing: Implement software debouncing if multiple rapid triggers occur due to a single impact.
• Environmental Considerations: Protect the module from excessive moisture or dust to maintain reliable operation.
