TPA3118 BTL 60W Mono Digital Audio Power Amplifier Module 8-24V
Price in Sri Lanka

The TPA3118 is a high-performance, Class-D digital power amplifier module configured in Bridge-Tied Load (BTL) mode to provide a powerful mono output. This configuration allows the module to deliver high power to a single speaker while maintaining a compact footprint and high energy efficiency.

Specifications

• Amplifier Chip: TPA3118
• Operating Voltage: DC 8V to 24V
• Output Power: 60W (Mono)
• Applicable Speaker Impedance: 4 ohm, 6 ohm, 8 ohm
• Power Efficiency: Greater than 90%
• Audio Input: Standard line-level input

Features

• BTL Configuration: Uses Bridge-Tied Load technology to output a robust 60W signal from a single channel, making it perfect for subwoofers or dedicated mono speakers.
• High Efficiency: Class-D architecture ensures minimal heat generation even at high volumes, often eliminating the need for bulky external cooling.
• Wide Voltage Range: Operates reliably between 8V and 24V, allowing for use with various power sources including batteries, car power systems, and laptop adapters.
• Integrated Protection: Features built-in safeguards against overvoltage, undervoltage, overheating, DC-detection, and short circuits.
• Clean Audio Quality: Designed to deliver low distortion and high signal-to-noise ratio for clear sound reproduction.
• Compact Design: The small PCB size makes it easy to embed into tight spaces, such as inside active speaker cabinets or custom audio enclosures.

Power Supply Recommendation

The output power depends significantly on the input voltage and speaker impedance:

• 12V Supply: Suitable for moderate volume applications.
• 24V Supply: Required to reach the full 60W output potential (recommended for 4-ohm speakers).
• Current: A power supply capable of providing at least 3A to 5A is recommended to handle peak audio loads.

Common Applications

• Powering a dedicated DIY subwoofer.
• Building a high-power portable mono Bluetooth speaker.
• Public address (PA) systems and paging speakers.
• Replacement amplifier for active mono monitors.
