The DJI Mic 3 is an advanced, mini wireless microphone system designed for content creators, vloggers, and filmmakers. Released by DJI on August 28, 2025, it introduces several major upgrades over its predecessor, the DJI Mic 2, including enhanced audio features, expanded capabilities, and a lighter, more compact design.

Adaptive gain control: A first for the DJI Mic series, this feature automatically prevents audio clipping in dynamic environments and balances volume in quieter settings for more consistent loudness.

32-bit float internal recording: The transmitter can record 32-bit float audio, which captures a wider dynamic range and provides greater flexibility in post-production. It includes an expanded 32 GB of internal storage and can record dual-file backups.

Integrated timecode: Support for timecode integration allows for seamless, frame-accurate synchronization of audio and video during editing.

Expanded connectivity: The system supports up to four transmitters and eight receivers for multi-person and multi-camera shoots, with the ability to record four separate audio tracks.

Voice tone presets: Three built-in presets—Regular, Rich, and Bright—allow users to quickly tune voices for specific recording scenarios.

Two-level noise cancelling: The Mic 3 provides two levels of active noise cancelling to reduce background noise, offering more control than the Mic 2's single level.

Dual-band wireless transmission: For stable and reliable transmission, the system can automatically switch between 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz frequency bands. It offers a wireless range of up to 400 meters with line of sight.

Extended battery life: The total battery life with the charging case is extended to 28 hours (8 hours for the transmitter, 10 for the receiver).
