Master Every Frame with the 48MP Main Camera

Built around an advanced quad-pixel sensor and customized to work seamlessly with the A17 Pro chip, the iPhone 15 Pro Main camera puts a professional studio in your hands. Instead of being locked into a single perspective, you can effortlessly switch between three popular focal lengths—24mm, 28mm, and 35mm—and even choose your favorite as your everyday default.

Double the Detail, Zero Hassle

By intelligently fusing the best of a high-resolution 48MP capture with a light-optimized 12MP image, the Main camera outputs phenomenal 24MP photos by default. You get twice the resolution of previous generations for crisp, vibrant, and lifelike images, all stored in an efficient file size that won’t instantly fill your drive.

Next-Generation Portraits Without the Mode Switch

Never miss a fleeting moment again. When the Main camera detects a person, dog, or cat in the frame, it automatically captures rich depth information in the background. You can snap a standard photo in the moment and transform it into a gorgeous, bokeh-filled portrait later—complete with the ability to shift focus between subjects after the shot is taken.

Pro Video & Studio Control

For serious creators, the Main camera is a cine-machine. Shoot 4K60 ProRes video directly to an external SSD via USB-C, utilize flat Log encoding for cinematic color grading, and take advantage of ACES (Academy Color Encoding System) support. When paired with the Ultra Wide lens, it even captures immersive 3D Spatial Video for the Apple Vision Pro.
