The MSI MPG B550 Gaming Plus is an ATX motherboard built around the AMD B550 chipset and AM4 socket, supporting 3rd and 5000-series AMD Ryzen desktop processors. It has four DDR4 DIMM slots running in dual-channel mode, officially rated up to DDR4-4400 (OC) with a maximum capacity of 128GB.
Storage connectivity includes two M.2 slots (one wired to the CPU with PCIe 4.0/3.0 x4 support, one to the chipset with PCIe 3.0 x4) alongside six SATA 6Gb/s ports. Expansion includes a PCIe 4.0 x16 slot, and the board uses a Realtek ALC892 codec for 7.1-channel audio and a Realtek RTL8111H chip for Gigabit wired networking.
