The iPhone 14 Plus, announced September 2022, brought the larger 6.7-inch display size previously reserved for Pro Max models down to Apple's standard, non-Pro tier. It uses the same A15 Bionic chip (5-core GPU variant) as the iPhone 13 Pro, a dual 12MP wide/ultra-wide rear camera system, and a 4323mAh battery — Apple's biggest non-Pro iPhone battery at the time.

It supports Nano-SIM plus eSIM in most regions for dual-SIM use, while US-market units ship in an eSIM-only configuration without a physical SIM tray. Storage options span 128GB to 512GB.

As the "Plus" successor to the discontinued iPhone 13 mini, it targets buyers who want a bigger screen and longer battery life without paying for Pro-tier cameras or a 120Hz display.
