The ASUS PRIME B550M-A is a Micro-ATX motherboard built around the AMD B550 chipset for the AM4 socket, supporting AMD Ryzen 5000/4000 G-Series/3000 series desktop processors. It provides four DDR4 DIMM slots (up to 128GB), a PCIe 4.0 x16 slot for the graphics card, plus two additional PCIe 3.0 x1 slots from the chipset.
Storage is handled by two M.2 slots and four SATA 6Gb/s ports, and the board includes a Realtek RTL8111H Gigabit LAN controller and a Realtek ALC887/897 7.1-channel audio codec. Launched in 2020, it does not include built-in Wi-Fi (that is reserved for the separate PRIME B550M-A WiFi/AC SKUs).
