The 48MP Fusion Camera: A Pro Studio in Your Pocket

Apple has completely reimagined its primary lens for the iPhone 16 Pro, introducing the advanced 48MP Fusion camera. Driven by a faster, next-generation quad-pixel sensor, it delivers extraordinary zero shutter lag when capturing massive 48MP ProRAW and HEIF images—ensuring you never miss the decisive moment. By default, it captures super-high-resolution 24MP photos, balancing brilliant, true-to-life detail with manageable file sizes. With a wide ƒ/1.78 aperture and second-generation sensor-shift optical image stabilization, your low-light photography remains incredibly sharp and vibrant. Pushing boundaries even further, this powerful sensor unlocks cinematic 4K video recording at an astounding 120 fps in Dolby Vision.

Flawless Framing with Virtual Lenses

The 48MP Fusion camera offers incredible framing flexibility. While it natively shoots at a wide 24mm, the advanced sensor flawlessly crops the image to deliver a crisp 12MP 2x Telephoto shot at 48mm. This gives you the versatility of multiple optical-quality zoom levels straight from a single lens.

Zero Shutter Lag for Maximum Detail

Built for professionals and everyday creators alike, the upgraded sensor eliminates shutter lag when shooting at the maximum 48MP resolution in ProRAW or HEIF formats. You get absolute maximum detail and editing freedom the exact millisecond you tap the shutter, making it perfect for high-speed action and dynamic subjects.

Next-Generation Creative Control

The iPhone 16 Pro’s Fusion camera is deeply integrated with the new tactile Camera Control, giving you immediate, precise command over your exposure, zoom, and framing. It also powers Apple’s latest-generation Photographic Styles, allowing you to seamlessly dial in exact skin tones, colors, and aesthetics in real time.
